Cicilline said he is still adjusting to his new job and plans to meet with stakeholders to determine where to better align grant funding to make a difference for Rhode Islanders.

Maureen Maigret, SACRI’s Policy Advisor, presented the legislative and budget priority requests opening with, “We’re back, and we are stronger than ever.”
Members of the community spoke directly to each of the proposals, followed by Speaker Shekarchi who acknowledged the critical needs of older adults and addressed the challenges of the budget this year, sending a resounding call to action, "I have a request for all of you. Please stay involved, make your voices heard at the State House,” and “give us feedback. You can testify in person at the State House, or in writing by letter or email."
